Planting on a slope

If you need to find an areas slope direction, I recommend using what I've coined The Tarp Technique.

Basically, place a large tarp flat across the spot you want to plant and test the slope with water. It will help you physically see the direction of the waterflow when it rains or when you water with the hose. Then you can plan how to plant the area.
