Yum! :P
Story time: Last night at work I was covering for someone in the grocery part of our store. It was pretty late, I had only gotten five hours of sleep the night before, and there was a football game going on so things were pretty busy and I was just kinda done with it all. Then, in walks these four dudes. One of them is dressed like a watermelon. The other three are wearing lab coats. And of course they come through my line. All they bought was a half gallon of chocolate milk and two half gallons of regular milk (why not just one whole gallon? Idk). I do my job and I'm like "Is this everything for you guys tonight?" and the guy paying (one of the lab coats) goes, "Yup, just these, and your number. Please." At first I ignore him (bc if you ignore it, the problem goes away, right? Also, I know sign language, so I'm thinking I can pretend to be hard of hearing or something) but then watermelon guy is like, "Hey, answer is question!" and the dude asks again like, "Hey, can I get your number or not?" so I'm just like, "Sorry, I don't feel comfortable handing out personal information to strangers," (which is true) and then they were all like "pffft, whatever," and left. THEN, a little while later, I go up to the roof to take the game day banner down with one of my coworkers and the watermelon/lab coat guys see us and start saying obnoxious things like "don't jump!" (it's a one story building) and all that. Then they recognize me and start saying things like "Hey, how can you ignore us after you rejected him like that?" and I just turn to my coworker and say, "And this is why I said no." After a minute or so they left us alone and we got the flag taken down in peace and everything. And that, my friends, is the story of the first time a complete stranger has ever asked for my number.
