FASHION ELECTIVE | WEEK 1 | MOVEMENT
I started my first week back in semester 2 with the Fashion Elective in Studio one with Tutors Giordana Giache, Ruth Duignan and Mairead Neil.
My two images were part of the beginning process of exploration and mark making on paper. As I have chosen water to explore our movement project we were tasked with translating our inquiry into images.
How would I express water through Fashion design?
I made marks to indicate the motion of water as it drips slowly, or in large heavy drops, the crashing of waves on a shoreline or the full bodiless of a still lake, gentle moving waves breaking and harsh sleet/hailstones raging from the sky as in my primary research video and images.
The Water Research Foundation (WRF) is interested in addressing scientific knowledge gaps and barriers present in the desalination industry today by producing effective tools and information for implementing desalination projects. WRF is conducting this survey under Project #4834 to identify desalination research needs for a WRF desalination research program that will help advance desalination, both ocean and brackish, as a viable and sustainable water supply alternative in the U.S. The survey is intended to gather needs and research ideas from academia, consulting firms, municipal water utilities, industrial and commercial users, equipment manufacturers, turnkey project services providers, and others in the desalination field from across the U.S. and worldwide. Areas of interest are wide-ranging and include both technical topics, such as more efficient or innovative technologies, and non-technical topics, such as regulatory permitting, policy, and public perception. On average, it takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete the survey.
