Whoever's agreed to gather, he pulls off below deck one night when things are quiet (outside of the fast approaching storm). Kass eyes them with brows raised, then puts his hand in the middle. "I've a proposal for you lot, but I need a vow of secrecy from ye first. If you're in, hands in the middle. If you're out, then, politely: get lost."

Takumi, while hesitant and wary over the rather clandestine meeting, agrees to Kassian's request to gather during the night. Things had been smooth sailing thus far, but Takumi knows it's only a matter of time before something comes up--this meeting being the "something." He eyes the others who joined the meeting with hesitation before sighing and putting his hand in the middle. "I will keep silent if it's for everyone's benefit."

“The King has ordered a new decree!” the town crier declares. “At long last! Our King has deigned descend from his tower to greet us with a challenge: ‘Find my queen, and never shall you want for anything.’ Ohoho, folks, the race is on!”

Pages rustling, a whirlwind scooping him up off of his feet, the unfortunately-familiar feeling of falling… 

With a harsh ‘thud,’ Takumi fell flat on his backside in the sand of a beach and he groaned in pain as he rolled over onto his side, hands immediately going to assess the impacted area of his body. Several things came to Takumi’s attention as he laid on the beach with several long, dread-filled sighs. 

For one, he had been transported via book again. This time, he was on some kind of island—one that was unbearably hot with the sun beating down on the island without reserve as it hung high in the noontime sky. Secondly, he was not alone. Not only was there the cry of someone sharing the news of some new royal decree off in the distance–only most of it being coherent from this far away–but there was also another body beside Takumi on the beach. He turned and let out a soft sigh of relief as he scrambled to his feet to approach the other person: Shigure. 

“Shigure, are you alright?” he asked as he crouched down beside his nephew, hand reaching out to pat the other on the shoulder. “We should move to stand in the shade while we figure out where we are, hm?”
