Art History @ 100 Oral History Web Exhibit
By: Maddy McGlone (she/her)
I’m excited to announce that the Oral History Program’s latest exhibit is now live! To celebrate 100 years of art history at UW-Madison, we wanted to share the stories of a few current and former faculty members from the art history department.
This project celebrates the stories of 6 art history professors whose concentrations range from architecture to African studies to material culture. Although Professor James Watrous (above) was not interviewed for this project, readers can find an interview with him in the Archives’ oral history collection as well. If you would like to learn more about our art history collection or the Oral History Program, reach out to us at [email protected].

Meet at Watrous by Mike Danneman Via Flickr: Amtrak No. 3 curves into Watrous, New Mexico, at milepost 750 on March 6, 2005. In the hole is an eastbound BNSF intermodal waiting for the Southwest Chief to pass on this nice, late winter day on the Raton Subdivision.
