In history class, we asked my teacher if he got anything for his wife for Valentine's Day. He said no. After pestering him about why he didn't buy her flowers, he said, "Well, there's no need to buy flowers today just because everyone else is. I mean, we used to get each other Valentine's Day gifts, but over the years we've stopped. Why today, anyways? Why not get her flowers any other day?"
and i was crying on the inside because i imagined how cute that would be, him buying her flowers and them being all cutesy and old-coupley and holding hands and stuff on a random day
