More than an hour has passed, and Amelie was still lying down and gazing at the stars. She almost forgot that she had a star map she could use, and she would only look at her phone every few minutes to check if anyone was looking for here. Wave was probably making her way up to the rooftop, but she decided to keep on looking up.

Eventually, she sat up and put more gummy worms in her mouth. She turned on her flashlight and looked for her star map and her compass. When she found them in her bag, she began trying to figure out how everything was going to work. It was difficult for her at first, but she got the hang of it soon enough. While waiting for Wave to arrive, she continued to do her star-mapping.

Yellow Car.

It was late at night, and Amelie was at a cafe downtown that was open 24/7. She would go there to write, or when she was bored. Since she would go there quite often, the baristas and the janitors know her already. It had actually been months since she last went there. As soon as she arrived an hour ago, all the employees celebrated her return and gave her a frappe and a cookie that was on the house. Now, she was sitting on her usual spot at the side of the cafe next to a big window that had a good view of the road where she could see all the cars passing by, all the hit and runs, and all the carjackers. The chaos that happened downtown was always nice for her to watch, except the time she was a victim of a hit and run.

To pass the time, Amelie played the game Yellow Car with the employees, since not a lot of people were around at the cafe. From time to time, she would focus on her laptop screen to write. When Wave sent a text that she was coming over, she told a barista about it so that they can prepare a drink. Soon, she could see a blonde girl coming inside the cafe.

15. Wave hosted the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.

The last time there was a host was 8 years prior on the 54th Annual Grammy Awards and she was still so young at the age of 25. Her friends couldn't be more proud of her, especially Jared who won an award for Best Rock Album with The Winter Set that night.

12. The unconventional what-if.

"I've gotten a girlfriend." Carter told Wave. 

In an instant, the 17 year old blonde was flailing with false excitement. Of course she was happy her best friend finally found someone to date, but something from the depths of her thoughts bugged her. This would mean less time for her, and lesser closed moment for the two of them, and she wasn't really happy with that. Wave knew she didn't have any right to tell him to not get a girlfriend, because that would be selfish of her. She didn't know why, but she felt against it. She didn't even know who the girl was. After all this time, Wave felt like Carter was hers from the very beginning, but not until the ending, she guessed.

06. Wave runs away with Jared.

Her parents did not approve of Jared, and this came crashing down on her as living nightmare. At first she had thoughts about not going through with him, since her family was very important to her, but then she realized Jared wouldn't do that to her. Jared would become her family, and there was nothing else to risk.

03. Wave was lying to herself.

The moment she chose Jared over Rafe, she knew she made the mistake. She chose pity over her real feelings, and this is where she ends up now---her life, a whole lie.

1. Carter was the best man at Jared and Wave's wedding

At least 50% of his best man speech was a lie, mostly the parts where he wished them a happy marriage. He wanted to stand up and 'speak now' but he cared too much about Wave's happiness so he chose to 'forever hold his peace'.
