Yandere WayLay Fem!Reader Headcanons

As she's older and more 'experienced' Waylay is not an incredibly aggressive yandere. She goes about it in a much more typical relationship sort of way though she is very assertive and leaves nothing to be assumed. You know that she's taking you on dates to test the waters before asking you to be her girlfriend. She's very clear with her expectations and boundaries before asking you out and makes sure you voice yours as well. From the start its clear she expects commitment and loyalty as well as to be made a priority in your life.

Once you start dating it, weirdly but comfortably, is like you always have been. No one is surprised despite you thinking it was pretty surprising to be asked out. It starts feeling as if you actually were dating before but you somehow were the last to know. Waylay writes this off as Tejo being a blab and the other agents overly polite as to not make you feel awkward while she was pursuing you but its still a little weird? Its like you've been left out of a massive secret.

Being her girlfriend quickly starts to feel like being her wife. She makes sure you're taken care of and never wanting, you've got a room at and key to her home before you know it, and she ensures there's little you have to do besides exist and be pretty. The teases about being a trophy wife flood in but she silences them rather quickly and, weirdly, reinforces that you two are JUST dating. When asked she entirely places the ball in your court when it comes to marriage. She's patient and is willing to date for however long until you are sure you want to marry her. Its treated still as not an 'if' but a 'when' but, well, she never puts any pressure on you so it's fine?

A lot of the relationship is little moments like this, ones where you find something a bit strange but not inherently distressing or alarming. By the time alarming things DO start happening, ones you can't ignore or hold off questioning, you've already been so boiled that you don't even think to hop out of the pot.

Your family, weirdly, cuts you off. One day you're blocked on everything and even trying to reach out to them is just met with silence. Waylay is there to comfort you and reassure you that no matter what she's still your family. You also have Valorant who, upon hearing of your family trouble, embraces you just as Waylay said they would. Childhood and long-term friends vanish too. You never find out what you did wrong but your found family embraces you so much you just...forget.

For a time you get sick. Its nothing life threatening but it keeps you from missions for long enough Sage asks if its okay for you to take extended leave until you get better. Waylay joins you and slowly you recover, feeling better than ever, and return to work only to start slowly getting sick again. Waylay suggests it could be stress and says shes okay with providing for you if you want to 'soft retire' until things are better. Sage and Brimstone back her up on this so, though sad, you 'soft retire'. When ever you visit the base you start getting sick again. When ever you start considering even doing normal work again that illness pops up again. It truly seems like the stress of saving the world wore you down so you just focus on relaxing and recovering until that's all your days are.

Waylay does as she's promised and cares for you. You're a content house wife with no ring. You spend your days in pretty dresses lounging with as many of the things you enjoy provided to you as possible. The other agents pay visits and 'babysit' you when ever Waylay can't check in. Despite being largely alone and kept away from the world you're never really lonely.

Once you start mentioning how you feel like a house wife and are sad you don't have a ring to go with it Waylay seals the deal and puts a ring on it. Your wedding is quiet and intimate, your honey moon secluded but gorgeous. Once you come home you've never felt better, you've never been happier. You can't imagine a life without Waylay in it.

Years down the line you're reminiscing about when you were dating and recall how sick you got from stress. Waylay corrects you and says you had food poisoning. You think nothing of it, you guess you did just have food poisoning. How could you have forgotten?
