(i know nothing about arizona and new mexico but here goeeeeeees) 1. AZ - you can see cowboys roaming the streets if you look close enough? 2. NM - it's like Mexico but with better soap operas 3. the state of procrastination - hell. literal hell but you're in love with the devil and it's so hard to let him go and leave the damned state

1. at least in the part of AZ that I’ve spent most of my life in, there are absolutely no cowboys. I’ve actually seen more people dressed like cowboys here in NM. But we do have a pretty good amount of horses.

2. Having never watched telenovelas, I can not attest to this.

I’m gonna add to this cause I lived in the part of AZ with cowboys. It tends to smell like manure and alfalfa, which will probably forever remind me of home. There are quite a few but you’ve gotta go to certain parts to get to them mostly up north near Prescott or down south around Tucson, but they’re are a couple of small time ranchers/farmers around the city. Those are the ones I’ve known. They mostly don’t do the entire getup unless they’re riding or in shows. But they’re wranglers fit them very nicely when they do. Although I do agree with Erin there are more cowboys in NM but it’s a smaller/poorer population, with more free range land, so it’s kind expected that you’ve got more actual cowboys (and cowgirls) there. The whole western ideal is just bigger here than in AZ.

2. NM is kinda like a telenovela but with significantly less of a budget. Not quite enough flash, but still lots of drama. Usually the same drama, cause it’s a small community, and it get repeated over and over again.

3. As Erin said, totally, completely and absolutely true.
