Summary:
Yanderes with a s/o who has a self-Destructive quirk, Kinda like Izukus Broken bones but on a much larger scale, So, s/o runs the risk of dying when their quirk is in use.
Katsuki Bakugou
Conflicted, to say the least.
See Bakugou loves you so godamn much it hurts, He’s so proud to see to become the hero you always wanted to be, but.
Your a danger to yourself.
You can’t not get hurt, And at the very least, you come home with a broken leg.
Your body and your quirk aren’t suitable for eachother, And he gets reminded of that ever day when he sees the blotches of bruises blooming all over your body.
And every day, He tells you not to be a dumbass, He tells you that he can handle this villain on his own, that you need to sit down and take a break.
And yet, you don’t.
You run in, And save the day, You always manage to defeat the Villain in the end- But at what cost?
Every new scar, Every new bruise, Every new broken bone leads to an argument. He really tries to be the voice of reason, To tell you that you cant keep up, That each and everyday your body is getting weaker and weaker.
So when you two agree to go on patrol together, you comply with his demand to stay back and not get involved. You were exited, hyped up to prove to Katsuki that you could make it through a day without getting roughed up.
Then a villain attack started up down the block.
You complied, you swear you did, You stayed at the sidelines loyally, Cheering Bakugou on from a safe distance.
And you came home with a broken arm and a stomach ache.
Raking his hands through his hair, Bakugou just thinks, facing the ground with a steeled crimson stare, He just sits.
It’s not your fault, It’s that damned quirk of yours.
And after about an hour, he gets up and leaves without a word, Leaving you alone to your demons. You really did fail him, didn’t you?
After a long night of restlessness, you finally get to sleep, your stomach sinking as you did so, The only question on your mind was where Bakugou went.
And then you wake up, But something felt off. Katsuki was in the living room, drinking his coffee and enjoying his morning, And as warm and homey everything felt, Something was off.
You swore you could hear a faint array of beeping from somewhere.
Mind immediately coming up with the worst case scenario, you assumed maybe something happened.
Bakugou only watched from the couch as you tried to activate your quirk.
Nothing came out.
Izuku Midoryia
Honestly, Him too.
But the difference between you and him is that he can handle it, He can Heal, And he can Survive. You, on the other hand, Cant.
Your gonna get hurt, Your gonna take damage, And when he’s not there to save you, Who will?
And- Why do you even need to go out there? Risking your life? He can provide for you! he can keep you safe! Being a hero is so stressful and hard, And there’s already tons of others who can shoulder all that for you!
And he softly explains all of this to you, Running his hands over your scar filled arms, He looks into your eyes and tells you to quit your job as a hero.
After his little monologue ended, You slowly let what he said roll around in your head, You getting more frustrated the more you thought about it.
So obviously, you bit back. Was izuku going insane?! you weren’t just gonna roll over and quit your dream job just because he told you to!
Knitting his eyebrows, he listens patiently as you rant to him.
And after your (Mostly one-sided) Fight was done, You stormed out of the room, leaving Izuku to his thoughts.
After a couple hours of you sulking on your bed, The door handle quietly clicks. Sparing a glance, The familiar green mesh of hair comes up from the door frame, Izuku with it, Slowly, he shuffles up to you, holding a bag of some takeout.
As Moonlight peered through the curtains, You and izuku both silently ate, The only breaks of silence being izuku or you shifting around the bed sheets.
And after a while, you both apologize to eachother, And You slowly fall asleep, Your head resting on his lap.
He really is sorry.
And now, even after so many Doctor visits, So many Trips to the ER, So many different medications you’ve took up, Your quirks still not back.
He knows what its like being quirkless, and seeing you so heartbroken when you wake up and realize your quirk is suddenly gone, It Hurts him so bad.
But it’s so much easier to love you this way
Shoto Todoroki
Very, Very worried.
Completely banning you from your quirk, something you were born with, seems a little unreasonable to him. And seeing how determined you are to master your power Drives Shoto to stress ALL other options before considering taking away your quirk.
And each day after you come home, Shoto is always there to silently patch up and clean your bruises, cuts and gashes, All with a pinched up face. He doesn’t like seeing you get hurt.
He also doesn’t like the chance that one day, maybe you aren’t gonna come home.
He knows you know the risks of using your quirk, yet you still do so without even hesitating. It really worries him, you know?
And even as he follows you around when you leave, quickly getting rid of any villains nearby so as to not give you an opening to have to use your quirk, You still manage to get hurt.
And, after a while, he realizes that your always gonna get hurt.
No matter how many precautions he takes, No matter how well he cleans up your wounds the day before, No matter how much you manage to master your quirk, Your always gonna stumble back home, with a bruised, scratched up bloody face, and several fractures.
He cares about you, He loves you so much, And he cant risk losing you.
So that’s why he did this.
And one day you wake up, Check the news and all of a sudden, Your dead.
I mean, Your still alive, still here, But now there’s thousands of articles investigating your death, Hundreds of headlines prematurely raving on about how much you wanted to be a hero, And how you fought so bravely in your last moments.
Your family, your friends... The whole world thinks your gone.
And Shoto watches all this from a distance.
You don’t smile as much as you used to anymore.
