Inktober Day 18: Deal

Fun worldbuilding fact, among the 4 court a childs first words are typically some kind of affirmation so that the parents can trick their children into their first "deals" or "promises" as fair folk. These promises between parent and child are typically a protecting so that the parent may take on any transgressions or mistakes the child garners, protecting them from manipulation from others and allowing their parents to handle anyone trying to deal make with their child until they are old enough to handle themselves. It also gives the children a safety net whilst they're learning to deal craft as well!

It is also used by parents like Lorg to try and find ways to manage their children. Making deals with extremely young children to lock them into quiet time, or behaving.

I haven't drawn in like a week. I haven't drawn Kaerr in far longer. Missed them very much.

The perfect storm of inspiration struck me at this wee hour. Wanting to experiment with inspiration for the arcane art style. My adoration for the Fool In Her Wedding Gown album cover from The Crane Wives. And fumbling my Paladin of Devotion in my bg3 honour run, and accidentally breaking my oath. Leading to the insane dialogue option with the Oathbreaker, which my partner then likened to Kaerr and that world. So of course I had to include it in the art <3

Taran as our godling of storms and justice finds himself in the wrong in MANY situations during the plot of WBB. Incidents like these are thew few in which he is 100000% is in the right for. mfs wont stop being weird about him at social functions despite a lifetime of denying peoples advances. C'mon he has a perfectly flirty sister to go for leave him alone rip

Inktober Day 29: Lessons

Easy. Little Kaerr and their many lessons with Thorivist as they grew up, tutored by them in all things but especially the faith. She became a maternal figure to them following their mothers death, for the worse but a maternal figure nontheless.
