Hello! Non-football fan here. Why do we hate portugal? (Admittedly I was rooting for them, but that's mainly because Ronaldo is one of the only football players I know, so I just went "Yay! Ronaldo!" Also, it's his first World cup. But if we've a reason to hate them then I will!)

well, it can all be about personal preference and opinion, of course! it usually is like that when it comes to football. portugal have been kind of clumsy with organization this world cup, and i do not have any players on that team that i like or support. and, personally, i do not like ronaldo as a person. aside from his personality that rubs me the wrong way, he's had plenty of allegations and controversies over the years, which made me stray away from him completely. so him being on portugal just made me not root for the whole team lol.

i'm not the biggest football fan(although i like it a lot), but i go crazy when the world cup comes around bcs its so so fun to watch the matches and look at the memes online after. it's the best part about it truly.
