Marco Cavaliere - Sadness

Marco does his best to carry himself as a strong, brave individual, but even the bravest of people can’t help but break down from time to time. Over the years Marco has experienced his fair share of sadness. The hardest times he has gone through were the day that Madison left him almost four years ago and the death of his father at the end of last year. As much as it hurt him to see the love of his life disappear without a trace, forcing him to cut himself off from any attempt of loving another woman, it cannot compare to the pain he feels knowing that he can never get the opportunity to tell his father that he loves him and appreciates him, seeing as Madison came back and his father cannot. He also still struggles with inner demons from the work he was involved in for so long and the disappointments he can’t help but feel he made his father go through. Now that he is a father he wants to put on a brave face for the sake of his son, as well as try and find the balance of letting his little boy know that it is okay to let go and have a cry every now and then, especially if the time calls for it. No one is unbreakable, after all.

Moodboard: Sadness

When Benji is upset about something he tries not to show emotion. If he can feel himself about to get teary he’ll generally try and make a quick escape from whoever he’s talking to at the time. Instead of expressing his sadness, he usually uses anger to cope instead. He’ll pretend he doesn’t care, or he’ll snap at someone, rarely physically, but always verbally. 

A lot of things could potentially upset Benji. His relationship with his father is one of them. It needs some serious patching up after his trip to LA back in May ended badly. He also used to get upset all the time about his break up with his ex-girlfriend. It took him years to move on, and the heartbreak that came with it was torture. Even just talking about her would hurt. His parents divorce was another thing that made him sad when he was younger. Watching them argue and fight-- it was something he vividly remembers.
