To whoever has been bullying Vikki ic, you got your wish. I truly enjoyed this group and thought it was going to be home for Connor, but a member(s) of this group just felt the need to attack her behind the anonymous button. There’s no way to prove who it was but I hope the person who did it reads this. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of this but it’s not just about me losing a group, it’s about my best friend getting bullied over a ship. A SHIP. I don’t believe in coincidences so I doubt it was one that as soon as she joined the group as Connor’s ex, she was attacked over the course of the few days she was here. I can’t believe someone took the time to sit there and refresh her page until she turned the anonymous option back on just to send more messages. I hope whoever bullied her out of the group, leading me to follow, is ashamed of what they’ve done.

To the people who were really sweet to me, I enjoyed rping with you and you can ALWAYS let me know if you’d like to keep in touch. Keep in mind this message was only directed towards one person/a small group of people and it’s not your fault that nothing was done about this sooner.

Maybe this baby is a way to bring you guys back together.” Jay couldn’t hold back the snort of laughter this time, holding both hands up in mock surrender. “Yeah, I guess that would change things. And I’m not really marriage material.”

“That’s what’s complicated. What if we move too soon, you know? I don’t want to rush back into things and then it get in the way of decisions we make for the kids.” Connor shrugged, trying to make sense of this all in his head. “Maybe. I don’t know.” He laughed softly, shaking his head. “Oh-I’m not either. We got married drunk in Vegas...we had never met each other before that night. It wasn’t like an elaborate planned out wedding where we were engaged for a year before.”

Gwen giggles and squirms in Connor’s arms as Nathan and Amalia hug, wanting to be part of the moment too. Amalia can’t help but laugh softly, kissing the top of Nathan’s head before she lets him go, leaning over to kiss Gwen on the head too. “You tell him, mija.” She murmurs with a smile, watching Connor hold their daughter. She had waited for this moment for so long, and she was so happy that it was finally happening. 

“Yeah, that sounds good. Gwen needs a nap, though now she’s all excited so I don’t know if she will.” Amalia teases, laughing softly. “You can put her in her stroller, babe. I’ll grab her bottle, maybe she’ll go down easier if she has something to in her stomach.”

“Oh wow, she totally is my daughter. Needing to be the center of attention, and not wanting to miss out on anything.” Connor teases, kissing the top of Gwen’s head after Amalia does. He’s held a squirming baby before, but this is different. He has the feeling deep down in his chest that he had the first time he held Nathan. When it’s your child, it’s different.  “Maybe once we walk her back to the house she’ll be a little calmer.” He shrugs before holding her as he gets up, trying his best to put her in it when she’s still squirming. “If you’re always like this, it’s going to be a rough next sixteen years, kiddo.” He teases again, kissing Gwen’s forehead once he has her in the stroller. Connor feels Nathan walk up to him, putting his hand around his side. “Dad, can I push her?” Connor nods, letting Nathan put his hands on the stroller. Connor keeps one on the side just in case, but he’s sure Nathan is old enough to pay attention to what he’s doing. Connor puts his arm around Amalia once she walks over to them. “Hey, at least we have a free babysitter.” He laughs. He’s joking, but it does make him happy that Nathan wants to be so involved with his sister.

“Seth, no. Put the Oreo’s back. Those don’t count as food.” Devin explained in a whispered yell to her brother racing down the aisle of the grocery store. “How bad would it be to just let them eat junk food?” She asked to the person beside her, not expecting an answer. 

“I let Nathan eat Oreos all the time. Not for dinner, though.” Connor shrugged before looking over to her. “I don’t think it’s that bad as long as they’re eating actual food, too. But I also limit Nathan on how much he can have, but that has to do with some medical issues he has, so...I’m probably not helping at all.”

“I do recall that, yes.” Amalia murmurs, smiling against Connor’s lips. Most would say that they were making a mistake, but they weren’t most people. They had always made things work despite the odds that were stacked against them. “I know we can too. I love you, Connor.” Of course she had dreamed about this happening when she moved to Rockford, but now that it actually was, Amalia was thrilled. She hadn’t expected it, but she was so, so glad that it was. 

Amalia’s so caught up in the moment that she doesn’t notice that Nathan has walked back over with Gwen, freezing for a moment when he calls her mom. Had that really just happened? With tears in her eyes, she nods, pulling Nathan in for a hug, letting Connor take Gwen as she hugs the eight year old tightly. “Yeah buddy, we are.” 

It isn’t like they haven’t had any time to talk. They’ve been in each other’s sight since they ran into each other at the warehouse apart from the few hours they split up so Connor could go home to get Nathan and she could go get Gwen. “I love you, too.” He says through a cheesy smile, placing his hand on her cheek softly. This is something he thought that he had lost forever, and he really never thought he’d see her again, so now he’s going to make sure they stay together.  Connor takes Gwen, sitting her on his lap as Amalia speaks to Nathan. He tried to warn Amalia about how happy Nathan was going to be, how much he had missed her, but nothing could’ve prepared them for this. He smiles as he sees them hug, adjusting Gwen’s clothes as he looks down to her. She seems to already be a little less shy with him. “Do you want to head home? I know we have a few more hours until dinner, but...we could just spend time together.”

“Well, aint that a bitch.” Jay clasped a hand onto Connor’s shoulder sympathetically. “From where I’m standing, you have a right to be upset. But if she came here so you could be a part of your kid’s life, maybe she’s ready now.” Slightly unsure of how his new friend had taken the news, his mouth opened before he could shut it. “Hey, we were locked in the same building all night. We didn’t fuck.”

Connor just nodded, not totally sure what to say. “I am upset...but at the same time, Nathan is just as much her’s as he is mine. So we have two kids instead of just one to think about here. Plus I still love her, so that really fucking complicates things.” He said before letting out a sigh. “Well as cute as you are, you and I don’t have a history that includes being married, so I think it’s a little different.” Connor teased him, cracking a small smile.

“I don’t want to wait.” Amalia says quickly, shaking her head.  “I trust you with my life, Connor. With Gwen’s life. I trust you more than anything.” She murmurs, giving his hand a squeeze. “Yes…we are a family. Maybe not the traditional kind, but we are. Gwen is our daughter, and Nathan is our son. I know we can’t make up for lost time, but we have so much more time to spend together ahead of us. Just the two of us, and all four of us. I know we have a lot to work through, but…I know we can do it. I never stopped loving you, Connor.” Amalia speaks slowly, trying her best not to rush through what she was trying to say.. “Point is, I want this. I want us.” She murmurs before closing the gap between them, kissing him slowly. 

Connor listens as Amelia speaks, and he believes every word. He truly believes deep down that at the time of their breakup two years ago she thought she was doing what was best. That she wasn’t ready to be a mother, but now she is. Now they’re ready to be parents together, and holding the past over her won’t change anything. He’s ready to let it go because he loves her too much not to. “You know traditional has never been my style.” He teases, smiling at her softly. “Whatever we have to work through we can work through together. I know we can.” Connor reassures her, feeling like for the first time in a long time everything is making sense. Before he can answer the two of them are kissing, and all he can think is how happy he is. He knows Nathan is going to see, and he doesn’t mind. “I want this, too.” He murmurs after pulling back just enough to speak. It’s not long before he hears Nathan walking towards them, but he doesn’t fully notice him until he speaks. “Are you and mom back together?” Nathan asks, looking back and forth between his parents. A smile appears on Connor’s face, because he realizes this is the first time Nathan has called her mom, even if she’s always been his mom. Connor quickly looks to Amalia before nodding. "I think we are."

He was a champ, that’s for sure.” She smiled a little. “Nah, she played in college but after college she sort of stopped. She jokes if a women’s league ever bases a team here maybe she’ll consider it. I think she sort of wants to, though. I know she misses it.” 

“Ah, okay. Well playing for fun is cool, too. I was never athletic...I’m clumsy as hell.” Connor laughs. “Well maybe she can get back into it some day, you never know.” He shrugs with a small smile.

“I love you too, Connor.” Amalia admits, her voice quiet. “I don’t want us to be apart either. I want us to be a family. But I also don’t want us to rush. I want you to feel like you can trust me again, and I know that you might not right away. But I promise you, I have nothing to hide. You can ask me anything, Connor…I don’t want to have any secrets from you. I love you more than anything, Connor. I want this…I want us. I want the four of us to be family, I want you and I to be together. Not just as two people who are exes and friends and are raising their kids together, but as a couple. As two people who are in love with each other. I want that for us.” 

“I feel like us being apart would make no sense. Me thinking about you all the time, you thinking about me...what’s the point when we can just be together?” Now Connor is just being honest, because he knows this conversation needs to happen. He doesn’t think he can push it back any longer. “I do trust you...and I don’t know why, but I do. We’ve all made mistakes, and I know more than anyone what it’s like to just want to move on from them.” He says as he takes her hand again, letting out a sigh. “I want that, too. For the four of us to be a family, because we are. Regardless of what label we use, those are our kids. We’re their parents and they need us. Why not let them have parents who are together?” Connor asks as he looks to Amalia’s eyes, leaning a little closer to her now. “I don’t want to wait, but if you do, I’ll wait for you. I’ve been in love with you since the night I first saw you...that’s never going to change.”

“True, I have.” Amalia nods, smiling a bit. Her smile quickly falters though, and she shakes her head, realizing how bad her words sounded. “No, no…that’s not - that’s not what I meant. I just meant…knowing us, with all of our history…it’s hard to ignore that.” Letting out a breath, Amalia makes a face, feeling like she’s digging herself into a hole. “I don’t know either. There’s no rules when it comes to this…or any right or wrong way to go about things. I think we just need ot do what feels right for us, whatever that is.”

“Yeah, I know.” Connor nods as she says it’s hard for them to ignore their history. He knows in any other situation they would seem crazy. Their situation is unique, though, and they both know it. Connor agrees that they should do what feels best for them. A small part of him is still afraid to let her back in, but another part of him is telling him, screaming at him, that he needs to. “I don’t know what to say. I love you, we have two kids, and I don’t feel like there’s any reason for us to be apart.” He knows even though they haven’t talked about it officially, Nathan is hers, too. “But I also know you just got here...and I just,” Connor pauses, trying to find the right words. “Do you still love me enough to want to be with me? Or do you just love me in a ‘we’re exes who have a lot of history’ sort of way? Let’s get this out of the way now.”

And if your mom really insists on buying Gwen clothes, mentioning that we need winter stuff would be good.” Amalia murmurs, returning Connor’s smile. “The last thing I want to do is confuse anyone…us or Nathan. Or even Gwen, even though she’s probably too little to really understand. I’ve been thinking about it too though…I know it probably wasn’t a great idea for us to hook up, but…it would have happened at some point anyways, I think. So at least we got it out of the way? I don’t know. All I do know is that I want us to work things out, romantically or otherwise.” 

“Oh, she insists. You’ve met the woman.” Connor reminds her before chuckling softly. His mother was the most high maintenance woman he had ever met. “I don’t want to confuse either of them. Especially not Nathan. He’s been through enough.” He murmurs, biting his lower lip nervously. He’s not just talking about her leaving, but about what Nathan has been through in general. “So you think it happened because we just needed to get it out of the way? Or...what?” He asks, turning to face her. “I want us to work things out, too...but I don’t know what to do. I don’t know how soon is too soon, or how we should do this if we do anything...I’m just as confused as you are. Not confused on what I want, because I know that. Confused about how the fuck we’re supposed to do this.”
