Here’s My Life For Better or Worse ; Harrison & Amiyah
To say the least, Amiyah wasn’t sure what brought herself to sign up for this. Maybe it was the fact she never really knew what love was? Or the fact that she just wanted someone to love her, unlike her ex who wouldn’t love her as much as she loved him. Fingers fidgeting and legs twitching, she felt like she was in the limo for hours. On her way to the venue to get ready. They weren’t allowed to see each other, nor know about each other, which made her even more nervous than usual. Licking her chapped lips, hues flickered out the window to see the ocean view. She was getting married on the beach. Luckily it was her favorite type of scenery and the ocean might be able to calm her nerves. Letting out a breath, the limo came to a stop and she was led to her room where she would be help getting prepared.
Chocolate brown hues widening at the sight of her gown, unable to contain the jitters that were rising up her spine. This was it. She’s going to be giving herself to someone that she didn’t even know. Shutting her eyes, the smaller girl watched as the help helped her into her bridal gown. They wanted to see if they wanted her to look, but she refused to look at herself until she was fully done. The gown felt surprisingly not so heavy. Though it was simple and elegant, she wondered how she would look to herself. Amiyah sat there as they did her hair and makeup at the same time. She couldn’t find herself to make up a conversation or she’d choke up and barf. Glancing down at her wrists, she noticed her tattoos and under there lay her past scars. Tugging at her lower lip, she could already feel the nerves rising much higher. They did simple curls to her hair before placing a flower crown on her head that was attached to a vail, something she personally wanted. Once her heels were placed, Amiyah finally decided to look at a mirror and nearly gasped. She almost didn’t recognize herself for a moment. Then.. It was time to walk the aisle and meet the person she was going to marry and be married to for six weeks.
Walking out to meet the beach’s scent, the bride wanted to focus her hearing on the waves, to calm everything that was going through her mind. What if he was an asshole? What if he thought she was a freak after seeing her tattoos and scars? How would his family react? How will her dads react? All these questions kept flooding into her mind, she didn’t realize she was at the beginning of the aisle. Flower petals covered the sand and breeze was quite calming with the hint of ocean scent. The guests stood. One side were strangers and stared at her, unsure if they approved of her or not. Then the other side, there stood her family and friends. Gasping and squealing, some with tears in their eyes. Then her hues flickered straight down the aisle where she saw the stranger. Standing there tall, nervous even. Her heart nearly skipped a beat, unsure how to react. But her thoughts were interrupted by both of her dads taking each arm, both nearly in tears. Whispering their ‘I love yous’ before all three walked down the aisle.
