i grew up watching the original version of this movie, so when i began seeing previews for the remake with ben stiller, i was completely against it. enter rhyan, who out of the blue yesterday said he had some christmas money and really wanted to go see a movie. of course, this was the movie he picked:

i was super skeptical, but have to be honest: we both ended up loving it! there was just enough humor + action to keep us entertained, and the story line drew us in for the entire two hours. and though it was nothing like the original, it was actually one i would [happily] see again.
