Beni! I was thinking what if Mikasa wrapped her scarf around in the end? It always provided her warmth and the feeling of home, what if she diid the same for Eren? 😩

oh yes i’ve thought about this and seen this theory as well, i am definitely open to the idea of it because it’s like mikasa returning the impact it had on her by providing eren with the warmth and beauty of their beautiful cruel world. but then on the flip side i know a lot of you would like eren to fulfill his promise to mikasa in chapter 50 because in a world like theirs, you wouldn’t wanna make an empty promise.

i always thought of the build up to mikasa leaving her scarf behind. right before 112 we get louise asking if she was saved by eren then a scarf flashback

then in the literal chapter of 112

we get another flashback and mikasa asking eren if he had done it out of kindness.

all these panels of lousie just eyeing the scarf, so if it’s not with her i don’t know where else it would be chillin agsjhsjs

and then we’re in paths with an older eren looking at his younger self wrapping his scarf around mikasa, the one he did out of kindness. i’m sure he reflected on what she had told him in 112 in this moment, maybe even chapter 50 and when he told her let’s go home—

i don’t even know if eren knows it’s not on mikasa but the scarf plays an important, symbolic role within their relationship and it’ll be nice to see eren do it again. fulfill that promise he made to her, you know? show mikasa that beauty in their current cruel world all over again. when? how? well we just have to wait and see it all unfold i guess.
