I shouldn’t go on twitter after a tillies game bc they want to get rid of our whole defence after 1 poor performance against the Olympic silver medallists whilst under an interim coach😐
I kissed her. I finally kissed her
The Final Frontier
We could stand for so much more than simply espousing tired values we believe only half-heartedly, if at all.
And not just because we’re america and america is awesome and support the troops because we’re the greatest country in the world. Not just because some guys almost 240 years ago had some good ideas that we’ve all but forgotten, ideas which are now better executed in a number of other countries throughout the world just as we begin to reel back from those very concepts.
We could be so much more than the countries we were born to. We could stand for so much more than blind devotion.
Knowledge. Research. Curiosity and exploration. Peacekeeping humanitarianism. Intellectual integrity. Just for starters. No “national", economic or commercial limitations. Only how much we learn, how far you wish to push yourself, and what we do for one another.
This is what we could be. This is what I envision. And when I see the world, this is why I just can’t understand “independence" day. It infuriates me, because it’s more of the same. Nothing changed. Still, people will refuse to learn and think, refuse to move past violence and anger.
Still, people will keep killing each other and they’ll do it in the name of silly, old, naive or misunderstood ideals.
Human ignorance: our final frontier.
