Canada regardless of the elimination today, I’m so proud of the way you played in this tournament.

People don’t realize how little competition we face during friendlies because we either only play CONCACAF teams or VERY VERY small countries who never compete at the World Cup. Copa America in 2024 was a great opportunity for us to play against very competitive South American countries.

We may be the first co-host to be eliminated but we fought hard and inspired plenty.

We got our first point and first win during this tournament

Became the only North American team to win a game by such a high margin vs Qatar

And battled hard despite major injuries (Alphonso and Koné)

This team has inspired so many children across the country to want to play football for Canada. Hopefully we grow our program and get more funding from the government.

Canada will be back and competing in the World Cup, this is just the beginning❤️🤍❤️🇨🇦
