Some dude just approached my partner, @playingd34d, and me about needing a jack for a flat tire. We didn't think we had one but when we got back to the house she remembered a comrade had left one here a while back. So I ran back out and tracked the dude down while she dug it out. Dude was still walking around trying to find one. We gave him the jack and exchanged numbers to have it returned.

People are afraid of punks, which is very silly. If you're ever in a pickle, find a MFer in a battle jacket, we'll do whatever we can to help you. What I've learned from the Langbrl community

Months ago I signed up for a national test (it costed only 5.50 USD), to test my ability to understand French through hearing and reading it. Today was day one of the two day test, it's a timed the first part was only 30 minutes. Today was the listening part of the test and I got 10/20 of the questions. To be fair, my listening skills are not as great as my reading skills, also the accents and natural speed was a bit off putting because I'm used to slower speech with less of an accent. Anywho, even though I got 50 percent, I feel like I did great for only learning French for 3 years and hardly hearing it daily. I'll take this test next year, as there is also a test for the students that have been learning for 4 years. It doesn't have anything to do with my school's curriculum (or really the university's because it's a 103 class, I get 5 credits when I pass at the end of the year. I don't know if I'll be going to college, but the class has given me an insight on what to expect, I'll make a post on this later. Keep in mind that I'm taking the class at my high school and is spread out more then if I were taking it on campus, it is also cheaper then if I was too. Again, more on this later.) or with any other school's, it's just a test to grade how well I've been doing in learning French, it in no way means that I'm bad at French. Simply that learning languages takes time and if I pass that's cool, I get a certificate and get to feel good, if I don't, oh well, I just need to practice more. My point is, is that anything you do takes time to learn, and even native speakers don't use their language like they way we learn, they have slang and use it. Their speed at which they speak is going to be different then which you may be used to, you'll get the hang of it eventually, especially if you make your self be around it constantly. Speak it. Even if no one will understand what you're saying, if they want to know, tell them. Not only does this let you teach another person, even if they forget it within the hour, but it also becomes easier to recall. Listen to it. From the one or two words you can pick out from music or on the radio to listening to full on conversations with your teacher or even other language learners. Read it. Find PDF's on your favorite books, even textbooks, grammar books and jokes (and Memes, so many memes(DAS MEMES)). The Langbrl community is very helpful and supportive and WILL HELP YOU!
