30 September - leaving New York
Goodbye, New York! We said an emotional goodbye to Stew and Maddy after staying our final night in NY at their apartment (thank yoouuuu!) and then had a mad morning in the office saying and sending final goodbyes, handing in equipment and completing exit interviews. We headed to the airport in a mad rush, boarded the plane on time only to sit on the runway for three hours... So a 1am arrival at Lima airport, a taxi in the dark followed by a flop into bed at The Lighthouse in Miraflores. Our adventure has begun!
