KelpiesTeen teams up with Scottish Youth Parliament!
Earlier this year, Scottish Youth Parliament launched We-CTV, a creative arts compeition for young people in Scotland to learn about interpersonal violence and spread the message to their peers through literature, art or multimedia projects. The aim is to spread the message to as many young people as possible, educating them about the consequences of knife crime.
So we're really pleased to announce that KelpiesTeen is sponsoring the prize for the We-CTV Literature winner! The winners of the literature category will win a visit to our big sister publisher Floris Books, where they'll take part in a writing workshop with award-winning author Cathy MacPhail and learn how publishing works from the KelpiesTeen team. They'll also take home an exclusive signed copy of Cathy's new KelpiesTeen book Devil You Know (available March 2015), where teen hero Logan is dealing with violence and gangs.
