I drew this for my sister a long time ago, but I forgot to use the 4px brush I usually use, so I recently touched it up to make it a little more consistent with the other comics

English surname which I don't agree with... Rhys is a Welsh name so I am happy with that.

English AND Welsh, the "/" means "or".

Birthday: Sept. 29

Care to explain why that particular date? Did something happen that would justify Wales seeing that date as his birthday?

Flower: Daffodil/Leek

...Leek is not a flower. It is a symbol associated with Wales but that still doesn't make it a flower. Daffodil on the other hand is.

Info: Wales is considered weak by England, having been easily conquered in the past by both Rome

Though let's be honest, Wales probably didn't exist in pre-Roman Britain so he couldn't really do much against that.

Yeah, about that. Easily conquered? It took England about 200 years to conquer Wales. While England on the other hand was conquered within 4 years by Normandy. England is in no position to consider Wales weak.

He hates feeling useless and gets overly excited when someone praises him. He has a severe people pleasing complex, which leads to a lot of embarrassment for both himself and England. Wales also happens to be the reason America is terrified of anything ghost related, due to an incident when America was small.

That sort of makes me want to know what happened. Of course I don't suppose that incident will ever be explained?

Wales seems to be the only one who actually likes England’s cooking, since he can’t cook himself.

This could come off as just personal preference but I don't usually like those sort of comments of a nation not being able to cook as it implies that there is no Welsh cuisine or it isn't worth exploring. It's really not good to do this.

*coughs heavily* In the languages Scotland speaks, I would also add Scots-Gaelic and Scots. They're recognized as regional languages too. I'm certain Scotland would speak these languages as well.

...where in the world... did this date come from? I'm trying to think of why this date woud be significant to Scotland but all that comes to mind is Saint Patrick's day, which isn't a Scottish celebration. But other than that I can't think of another reason why this date is used for Scotland's birthday.

Info: Once Rome tried to conquer Scotland along with Wales, but gave up almost immediately because Scotland was too much of a headache.

Actually the reason why Rome gave up on conquering the rest of Scotland (even if Scotland didn't officially exist at the time) is that it was costing the Romans too much to continue paying their army to conquer what they considered was a waste of time. The land that the Picts inhabited weren't exactly the most fertile, no great riches... the Romans saw no point in continuing.

He built a wall to keep Scotland out (or in).

You could mention which wall, since there were two. The Antonine Wall was built to keep the Picts out of Roman Britain. Hadrian's Wall was never built to keep anyone in or out.

Scotland loves his booze and half the time you can’t tell if he’s drunk or just acting that way.

...I'll venture that this is perhaps almost too stereotypical. There is a limit somewhere, you know?

He’s a fairly decent guy, though he holds a grudge against little brother England for holding him on such a tight leash.

Oh yeah sure, Scotland is really being held on a "tight" leash. You should see how "angry" the Scottish are about the situation. (seriously though, many Scottish will agree that they wish their government had a bit more freedom but there aren't exactly riots going on about it)

Are you trying to insult the Scottish? Their poor nation is being beaten "half to death" by evil England? Do you really think Scotland would have no strength in hitting England back just as hard, if not harder? You think he will just lie down and allow himself to be beaten up?

Scotland is extremely mean to Wales and constantly chastises him for his apparent weakness.

Says the one being beaten up by England and apparently not fighting back. Sure, that doesn't sound hypocritical. Especially since Wales is not that weak, I'm really starting to dislike it when people base their Wales OC completely around the fact "he is weak, lol".

Nice to see that Northern Ireland and Ireland are left out completely. I suppose their not part of the family because "they are not part of the island". This Scotland had a lot of issues but what bothers me the most is that this OC was portrayed as a victim who doesn't even fight back? I mean honestly, what history book did you pick up?
