I love the unplanned similarities of these two pieces... The presence of love and belonging between Kiara and Jack has kept me going when I didn’t think I could... or should. 

Yep, it’s a random ship that no one knows about and that hardly anyone would give a second glance to because it’s not well known... but it has helped me to write this story. It’s helped me to create this work because of the few lives around me that I have impacted by sharing it. If there’s anything fandom has taught me it’s that there is hope for all of us if we open up a little more. You never know what you’ll find there in your own little fantasy land....and you never know who might follow you there.

Funny how life grants you the littlest gifts when things seem to be falling apart around us! There is so much to be grateful for. Inspiration in every corner, passions fueled wherever you look! With everything that’s going on in our world, with all the darkness spreading, the hate rising, the anger burning... we have to remember to breathe because we all belong somewhere. We all belong to someone. We can’t give up on ourselves in this situation... there’s no reason to believe we’re on our own because we hear all over the media about other people’s tears falling at the same time as yours. We see others living the same nightmare as we are. It’s no different. We all matter. We’re all in this together... let’s get out of it together.

-Simply Trying to be Heard-

Nowadays everyone wants to be heard. Each of us has a voice and a story to be told. Words have always been a powerful, impacting way to express yourself. For me this is very true in my life due to my introverted personality among other aspects. Over the last two years I have grown and broke through the barriers I had around me to protect myself from anyone or anything that could possibly hurt me. I have struggled, worked through and now try- key word is try and balance myself out so that I accept myself as I am. Not let others take over my life, force the ways I should feel, compare myself or tell me I’m not enough.

Gaining even the slightest bit of confidence can seem so hard to overcome. Current influencers at times make this almost feel impossible. I am no where near where I’d like to be on a confidence level but when I look back two years ago all I see is a broken girl that wouldn’t allow herself to heal. My mental health was my life, it controlled me and almost literally took my life. 

Starting a blog on Tumblr is just the first step for me. I want to take my story and help anyone else who shares the same struggles or really will just listen and see me for me. Help me to help you in a journey full of change and acceptance.

Inspiration/Background:

@youmaekmecrxzy reached out to me regarding a Crush. This crush has similar problems that many of us deal with on a daily basis: low self esteem, self-hatred etc. 

However, I believe many of us have people who love us and want nothing but happiness for us. They want us to believe that we are so much more than we could possibly know. 

This poem is dedicated to @youmaekmecrxzy and those friends/relatives/lovers who want nothing but to see their loved ones...love themselves.
