I can have it all. I can have anything I want.

And not because the Universe owes me something or because I deserve it, but because I'm willing to work for it. And instead of lowering my standards I'm ready to raise my conviction.

.
I've trained my brain to stop thinking that making another choice or adding on more responsibility will somehow take away from a limited pool of time, money, and resources.
.

.
Instead I'm finding myself looking for ways to make life easier whether that be hiring more staff, buying a bigger house, or doing whatever it takes to live life on MY terms.

Because I've got big dreams and I don't feel like shrinking to fit into some story of what someone else thinks I can or can't do. How much money I can or can't make. How many dogs I can or can't adopt. How many countries I can or can't visit.

I'm in charge. I write the story. I set my limits, and I say I have none.

What's the sweetest thing you've ever done for someone? (◕ᴗ◕✿)
Oh jeez, this is a hard question because I have not a clue lol. I do a lot of little nice things for friends and family, I’m hard on the outside but really giving and caring and empathetic on the inside. I don’t really have a straight up answer here.

Comment: I’m not by any means a white lux blog but this blog is literally so pristine it makes me want to get my life together and be that flossy. I’m following because it inspires me to get my shit together.
I’m procrastinating coursework right now, send me a question and I’ll rate your blog!

THAT IS A TOMATO
what the fuck
Here, could you hold this for me while I go for a walk? *holds out hand*
Headband.
So for a while now, the words “I love you” really haven’t meant anything to me.
Don’t get me wrong; I’m a writer, words are all I have, and I’m a reader, so words can still get to me in a book or a fic or whatever. I feel love for people that I’m close to, and I tell them that I love them.
But the words don’t really mean anything anymore to me, not really. I tell people that, but it’s mostly in passing, just the same as any other words we exchange. Frankly, I think they’re overused and have lost whatever made them special in the first place, and I don’t feel the sentiment whenever they’re directed at me. I only really feel it when someone says something else; “You’re sick, of course I’m concerned” or “I want to go to comic con with you” or “Are you okay buddy?”
But today, I got the reply to a message that I didn’t even remember sending until just now. I was in a really bad place for the last few days, and while in tears I sent someone a rambly ask that showed just how much of a hot mess I am. And someone who’s barely interacted with me at all took the time to read that goddamn message and pass on six words, beautiful words that still hit me in the stomach and leave me just a little bit breathless whenever I read them.
Three of them were “I love you.”
I just wanted you to know that for the first time in I don’t know how long, I’m feeling what’s behind those words.
So thanks, sweetheart. I love you too.
