Okay, so Splatana Wiper is good for splatting others. Get a good charged shot up close, and it's a one-hit splat!
Splatana has Torpedo and Stamper. Torpedoes are super good for distracting snipers and finding someone hidden in ink, as they lock onto the nearest enemy player. Stamper is good for covering large amounts of turf or taking out a group. Get a good shot from afar and you could take out the sniper that's been annoying the hell out of you for most of the match!
While Splatana can be good for splatting, there are methods to covering more turf. What I like to do when I first enter a turf match is a charged shot, then follow that by moving to the side while spamming shooting. Splatana reaches pretty far, so doing that, I've found, is the quickest method to covering more turf.
Another thing about the Splatana, it covers the ground you stand on when you shoot! This helps a little when fighting.
