This is a lot less dumb than the headline led me to believe it was, still feels silly to me because I thought the whole "sell by" doesn't mean use by was common knowledge, but why not simplify things I guess.

If it can save food waste, why not, not something that should have any real effect on prices at all.

before i start i'll list my sources so you know i'm Legit(TM): 1) broke my leg and was in a full leg cast for the entire summer; sentence: 3 months walking cast 2) fell down the stairs and did *something* to my ankle (doctors were unsure, not broken, but not pointing the right direction either?); sentence: walking cast for another two months 3) broke my foot getting my laces caught in my bicycle chain at 30mph going down turn 1 at circuit of the americas in austin, did not realize it was broken and it healed in a way that god did not intend, two years later i fell off the back of a truck at work and THEN found out it had not just broken but re-broken along the same line (...sort of); sentence: one month light duty, two months walking cast

so anyway the best advice i have for a walking cast is do not wear it unless you absolutely have to. i was working in a warehouse sorting boxes and i'd still take it off, rotate my ankle around, let it breathe, and then put it back on. if i was at home, i wasn't wearing it. i either scooted around everywhere i needed to go on my ass, or i just had everything brought to me. (be careful about scooting everywhere on your ass, though, that was my primary mode of transportation the summer i was in a full leg cast and i fell down the stairs a lot). if you can't afford the sock, then unfortunately the only way to keep it from sweating is to just not wear it whenever you can

She's got other issues that might get in the way of that, ehelers danos is no fun by all reports, but I will be sure and pass this along because anything that might help is worth a shot at this point.

If you treat everyone the same regardles of skin colour you're racist because it's not about equality anymore for some reason.

I've made a similar joke to yours before too,

I'm out here in a no win situation, unless I get those glasses somehow.

But I don't want those glasses, I'd rather not find out what I'm missing only to lose it again when I inevitably break them.

in the meantime I will continue to treat everyone the same regardless of external factors, because to do otherwise would make me actually racist, sexist, homophobic, ect
