Rain poured down around her while Im stalked around the side of the car, hair plastered to her forehead in seconds as she yanked open the hood of the truck, greeted by a cloud of steam. Brows pulled together, she tried to clear it away before gingerly reaching in and fiddling with a few pieces. She dropped her hand, her muttered curse drowned out by the clap of thunder above her, and she squinted into the darkness, trying to see approaching headlights in the downpour. 

Spitting out a curse, she kicked at a tire, managing only to stub her toe and nearly slip in the mud.
