BEACON MODE (TOKEN CLASS): PINGING A BOUNDARY THAT WON’T ANSWER
New modality added to BOUNDARY OUTPUT: BEACON.
This one’s TOKEN-only (wearables / carriers — things meant to be present, not alive).
Where FERRO / TRACE can read like bodies changing state, BEACON stays thin:
signal → quiet → signal. A handshake that never becomes a conversation.
What it does: rings expand, decay, vanish. Static flares, then drops back into dead air. The log updates. Nothing opens.
Same rule as always: correlate, not content. telemetry, not testimony. We can instrument the boundary, not enter the room.
The twist: interaction becomes measurement. In every mode, a click is a disturbance that forces a response — BEACON just makes that explicit. Observation doesn’t simply reveal; it participates.
And even then: INTERIOR: INACCESSIBLE.
TOKEN → BEACON Wearable signal / boundary ping / carrier-present logic. Discrete bursts. Quiet. Repeat.
No creature. No window. Just a system that keeps asking — and a boundary that keeps refusing.
