Okay, wow, I didn't expect this fandom to explode but

Giving Julian soap as some sort of gag gift is not okay. Maybe you thought it was cute because we all affectionately joke about his "greasy" hair, but he is a person and he's clearly uncomfortable in that video. "But he didn't say anything!" Wtf do you want him to say to a fan essentially telling him that's he's unhygienic and dirty?? Like??

In regards to the response over him using the word "retarded", everybody take a breath and realize that a) the word is a slur and should be treated as such, b) other mentally ill people being okay with or reclaiming the word doesn't invalidate the mentally ill people it could offend/who don't want to reclaim the word (so please don't use that as an excuse?), c) we all know that Julian cares about his fans, politics, and people in general and probably made a mistake and won't react negatively to being informed that the word isn't okay to use. I feel like everyone is underestimating him here?? He isn't ableist, and this seems like a genuine mistake he would be only too okay fixing.
