This is what a feminist looks like. A submissive rope slut hanging in bliss.
This is what a feminist coming back from work looks like :)
Feminism is for everybody – young, old, straight, gay, long hair, short hair, shaved legs, hairy legs, boy short or g-string wearing – it’s about equality and being able to do what you want without anyone telling you that you can’t because you’re a woman, whether that’s getting your medical degree or a bikini wax. Being feminist doesn’t have to mean rejecting all potentially problematic things, but arriving at a place of awareness about what you like and why, in all its enticing and challenging facets. And in a world where women’s bodies are constantly controlled, regulated, and warred over, no title has ever made me feel more empowered, proud, or beautiful.
Creating new language to empower women and deter predatory behavior.
There isn’t a feminist “look”. You can’t tell who rabidly supports the rights of women; who fights for their gender to be treated equally. There is no defining trait, or piece of clothing that identifies us (we are not a gang - we don’t wear bandannas).
However, you should be able to tell by the way that we act, by the way that we carry ourselves, and by the way that we treat others.
