Listen/purchase: Wellwave by Lucid Express

Lucid Express are the Hong Kong dreampop/shoegaze band formerly known as Thud, and this is a track from their first full-length album, due for release in mid-July.

A few of the tracks have been previously released as Thud singles, and those songs are no longer available at the band’s previous bandcamp pages. Good tunes, tho, I think I bought them all from Thud, LOL. =D

New single from HK dreampop/shoegaze/synthpop unit Thud. =D

All of their releases are spread over different bandcamp pages; wearethud is the newest. Sometimes you might think a band has disappeared, but they’ve just migrated to a new site, or changed their fb address, etc. o.0

Thud were in NYC for The New Colossus Festival last month, and they posted a short live clip of North Acton at Instagram, it sounds just as swirly and dreamy as the studio recording. =D

I'm kinda shocked that Thud travelled to NYC at that time, because mid-March was when the USA began to close down for COVID-19 social distancing. Recall that a bunch of bands canceled their SXSW shows and USA tours, even before SXSW was called off.
