Rights of the PEOPLE

If I didn’t include rights on a project about America then I would have failed or I was Half Ass-ing this project, but since this post is here I guess neither apply.

As Americans we like to know that we have unalienable rights that must be upheld at all times, but how much do we really know about our rights?

This is a list that I believe are very important rights EVERY America should know.

Knowing how to exercise your right to refusing a search WITHOUT a warrant and understanding your Miranda rights "You have the right to remain silent. If you give up the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you desire an attorney and cannot afford one, an attorney will be obtained for you before police questioning."

Rights as an Employee are very important it's possible, depending on your type of position, that you are owed overtime pay, whether your employer likes it or not. Head to your state's department of labor site for things like Workers' Comp and laws on taking breaks, etc.

You will need a lawyer at least once in your life, so when you need a lawyer it is always important to know how to talk and understand your lawyer is telling you. If accused of a crime you have a right to an attorney, the one you get when you cannot afford one is usually a public defender that has a multitude of other cases that can blur together with your case. It is always best that when you are being accused of a crime you understand the facts that may or may not be used against you. Take legal advice with a grain of salt do what you feel may be best for you. Stay educated.

His History

Ken is a fashion doll introduced by Mattel in 1961 as the male counterpart of Barbie, who was introduced two years earlier. Similar to Barbie Ken has a fashionable line of clothing and accessories. Since his debut, Ken has held at least 40 occupations. He was invented by Elliot Handler the husband of Ruth Handler the inventor of Barbie.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?
