Sorry for the huge delay, love.  Life has been insane lately.

1.  I can recite many children's books, including Goodnight Moon and The Big Red Barn (and even chunks of HP and THG), entirely from memory.

2.  If I love the series, I am really good at remembering canon details, even years later. And on that note, the Brazilian Boa in HP was definitely NOT Nagini, who was a python.

3.  Of the original group of gals I used to Beta for, all have stopped writing fanfiction, while, ironically, I've just started. 

4.  I still check once a month to see if Protection by PrincessPotter has updated.  It's been years, but I just CAN'T give up on that one.

5.  I have never lost the game Balderdash (where you have to make up fake definitions for words and let people choose between the real and fake ones). My friends won't play with me anymore, though...

6. My husband is two years younger than I am.

7.  I rarely remember people's names when I meet them and I don't usually hold grudges because the details of arguments get fuzzy over time.  Weirdly enough, however, I can still remember the birthdays of most of my childhood friends; even those I haven't seen since grade school.

8.  Everyone in my house has ADHD, which makes mornings a huge challenge.  We're very creative at making up excuses why things aren't done, though...

9. I used to be seriously nearsighted and had LASIK.  It was by far the best money I have ever spent on myself.

10. It may be statistically improbable, but I have been in several plane "incidents" including one where we popped a tire upon landing and ran off the runway.  I do still fly occasionally, but it seriously stresses me out.

And you're all amazing, so there's no way I could ever pick 15.  Love you all!

When I was a child I hated my name so much I asked everyone to call me Claire.

I lack the wedding gene. I organised mine in 3 weeks and bought the dress as a slightly make-up soiled sample for £50, on the basis that if the dry-cleaner sorted it out I’d save hundreds (they did). And we had 30 guests only. We did all go to a seriously nice restaurant, in the countryside with a lovely garden. They let us take over this big conservatory with Bougainvillea growing everywhere under the roof from noon till two or three am, and then the garden complete with pond and ducks, and nobody had to pay for their own drinks all night. It was just a party, really, only with posher food and drink and in a nicer setting than normal. (And they took an antique silver sword down from the wall to cut the cake, on a whim of one of the waiters! That was amazing.) I love big fancy weddings as a guest, but the thought of my own gave me hives.

My feet grew a half size when pregnant and never returned to the original. I have big feet anyway, so the combination makes finding nice shoes hard.

I was born on the 6th in Australia, shortly after midnight. This meant the telegram announcing my birth and the date arrived in England on the afternoon of the 5th, and is dated accordingly.

A friend used to share a flat with Jamie Bamber from Battlestar Galactica. He was lovely. I was told that his niece had been really unhappy at the local school, so he quietly started paying for her to go to a different one.

I hate oysters… and cheesecake, if there is the slightest taste of cheese (marscapone is fine). It’s odd, because I can eat literally anything else without a qualm. 

I’m double-jointed in my elbows. My husband can’t stand to look.

I’m very grateful that society regards illiteracy as embarrassing and indicative of stupidity but innumeracy as completely normal, because if I spelled as badly as I calculate I would be unemployable. It’s an odd prejudice, but one I benefit from a lot.

If someone had asked this 6 years ago I would have had no trouble. Now, it’s hard. My son has made me way less introspective. It’s one of the many, many things I owe the little guy.

I’m truly happy with my life. For all the temporary frustrations and occasional sadnesses, I’m living a life that makes sense to me, and gives me a lot of joy. I’m really thankful, because it wasn’t always that way.

Did you manage to find the chamber of advocates?

Luckily my friends who were also sitting for the Warrant Exam showed up at that same moment. Unlike me, they had done the necessary training in court so they knew where the Chamber of Advocates is ;).

I have no idea how I passed that exam. And I've never had any use for it since I don't work as a lawyer and instead went on to Public Administration :p. I got the impression that the Judge allowed me to pass on the condition that I never set foot in his court. Point taken Your Honour ;)

7: how late did you stay up last night?

it must’ve been around 2/2:30-ish? last night was funny, because i was all ready to go to bed at 1 am— i had even turned off my laptop and everything, and then i picked up my phone to set my alarm and i noticed android was updating my tumblr app to the latest version… so of course i clicked on it to see if anything’s changed, and then i saw my dashboard getting FLOODED with posts about the catching fire gif MTV posted, and in a second i was like “NOPE, NOPE, GOING BACK TO MY COMPUTER.” so i didn’t actually go to sleep until an hour later, heh. not a good thing since i had to wake up at 7:30 for classes. -_-;;;

17: have you ever cried from being so mad?

oh yeah, that happens more often than i’d like. not when i’m mad at people, necessarily (though that HAS happened, too), but usually when i’m mad at myself. i hate it when people see me cry, though, so it’s very likely that if i feel myself getting to that point, i’ll get the heck out of there and lock myself in my room where i can mentally rage at myself and at my stupid tears in a vicious cycle that never ends, lol.

27: are you listening to music right now?

nope, i’m watching TV— though admittedly most german reality shows play popular music in the background and since it’s the only thing i can understand i usually jam to it anyway. xD

15. A habit you have that other people bug you over.I have this really bad habit of searching through my hair and ripping out the bad ones. This annoys the twin so much. Every time my hands raise to my head she yells at me to stop it. Also, my singing habit. I sing songs all the time. Even if I don't like the song and I know the words, I'll still sing it. My husband hates me for it. 13. Musical artists you love but have gotten shit for liking.Rob Thomas, Jason Mraz, Michael Bublé and New Kids.
