“Wow — we’re identical!” "I dunno, though, I think I’m still better-looking.“
The source of the commotion was revealed as they entered the garden and saw that Bill and Charlie both had their wands out, and were making two battered old tables fly high above the lawn, smashing into each other, each attempting to knock the other’s out of the air.

“would you like us to clean out your ears for you?” inquired george, pulling a long and lethal-looking metal instrument from inside one of the zonko’s bags. “or any part of your body, really. we’re not fussy where we stick this,” said fred.

Hogwarts students go back to school today! @weasleyprotectionsquad is here for it.
Ronald Weasley had never been to school before, but he had always imagined that he would look a little better when he did.
He had imagined having a little burst of delight every time he looked at his new wand - it would be the first thing he ever had that would rather have him than one of his siblings.
He had imagined wearing robes as black as night, with the darkness broken by a vivid red tie.
He would be pushing the cage of a magnificent owl, and there wouldn’t be a corner of the world he couldn’t talk to.
Ron Weasley arrived at King’s Cross with a wand that didn’t want him, robes that befitted a homeless man more than an eleven year old, and a rat that slept its life away. It was less disappointing to him than it ought to have been, and somehow that made him more disappointed than ever.
“It’s going to be so boring without all of you,” Ginny griped.
“It’s going to be so much more fun without you,” Ron said, and he grinned at her pout. “We’ll be back before you know it.”
He was surprised that his mother hadn’t chided him for teasing, but it didn’t take long to realize what she was looking at.
There was a boy, possibly Ron’s age, standing on his own near the platform. He looked lost, a little afraid, and like there was something important hanging in the balance.
“I don’t think he knows how to get onto the platform,” Molly said.
Fred grinned, but it wasn’t unkind. “Must be a Muggleborn. Should we help?”
“I don’t think so,” Molly said. She crossed her arms, thoughtful. “We should let him come to us.”
It seemed awfully silly to walk back and forth across the platform, trying to get the boy’s attention talking about nine and three-quarters, but the longer they went on, the more necessary it seemed. It was hard for Ron to imagine someone noticing so little without it being purposeful, but that lost expression deepened by the second.
“Now, what’s the platform number?” Molly hollered the words, and the boy’s head, already pointed at them, stilled.
“Nine and three-quarters,” Ginny said, and the boy perked up. Ginny continued to whine, Fred and George antagonized their mother, and boy watched closely as magic defied his logic.
When he finally asked for help, he looked afraid that she would snap his head off. A rational fear, Ron supposed - his mother was a Venus Fly Trap, honestly - but didn’t seem quite right at the moment.
Molly showed him the way, which Ron expected to be the end of it.
Then he found out that the boy was Harry Potter, and he desperately hoped that it wasn’t the end of it.
Harry Potter was kind. Ron thought right away that this kid was bound to be a Gryffindor, but maybe he just wanted this boy to be his friend. Harry was giving in a way that Ron had only seen from people who knew how to go without. He was bashful, complimentary, and most surprisingly of all, seemed to actually like Ron.
Fancy that.
He and Harry met Neville, then Hermione, and Harry still stayed with him. When Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, came by, Ron half expected Harry to bolt for the compartment holding old money and old ideologies.
“I think I can tell who the wrong sort are for myself, thanks,” Harry told Malfoy, and Ron thought that maybe someone had chosen him first after all.
pride
@weasleyprotectionsquad | pride month event → ginny weasley
Ginny Weasley had always known she’d like girls the same as boys.
It was like knowing she had red hair.
It was something that never changed about her.
The more ignorant around her assumed it went away when she would date a boy, but that was never the fact.
It was the eve before her fourth year, when everyone seemed to be gathered at Grimmauld place that Ginny began to pace her shared room. For a long time she’d been content to keep this to herself-- for reasons that felt hard to explain to someone who wasn’t in her situation. What if her family didn’t agree? Was this the right time? How could this change things?
But tonight something told Ginny that she needed to tell someone.
Her bare feet were quiet mostly on the wooden floors as she padded her way downstairs to find her mother, sitting in the drawing room working on what seemed to be a scarf.
Molly looked over her shoulder and seemed quite surprised to see Ginny-- especially to see Ginny as if she sought her out. Like most mothers and daughters when the daughter was newly fourteen, there had been plenty of stress and spats.
Molly remembered the same, trying to spread her wings and claim what little independence she had at such a young age and the clashes it brought with her own mother.
“Is everything alright Ginny?” Molly set down her knitting in her lap, eyebrows knitted together. Ginny appeared as if she was working through something in her mind, steeling her nerve for something Molly wasn’t sure of.
“Mum I think--” Ginny shut her mouth and shook her head. No that wasn’t the right way to say it. “I know I like girls and boys both. ‘m bisexual.”
Molly was silent for what seemed like ages to Ginny, though was more likely to be a few seconds. The Weasley matriarch felt very aware that whatever words she said next would effect her daughter profoundly. Finally she settled on what she hoped was supportive enough for a daughter who looked so nervous. “Well alright then dearie-- would you like to talk about it?”
Ginny felt a rush of relief, and a bit of shock, “You don’t sound very surprised Mum.”
“You get an inkling of these things sometimes. Besides-- when you were little you used to fight with Ron about who’d get to marry one of the Muggle girls from the village near us.”
The youngest Weasley had forgotten all about that. It brought a smile to her face. “Didn’t I win that one?”
“You did-- but you won it by getting the twins to prank Ron.” that statement was the only thing that brought the tiniest bit of disapproval to Molly’s voice. Though soon it was gone. “Why don’t we sit and talk. Would you like that?”
Molly didn’t have much to offer in way of life experience in this facet for her daughter, but Ginny didn’t care. She had a mother who was asking about which girls she’d liked so far and wanted to know all about this so she could simply know her daughter better.
Ginny found herself wrapped up in a blanket on the couch, sitting with her legs crossed and leaning against the back. This was nice.
She’d never felt conflicted about who she was.
She’d always known she was bisexual, even before she’d known what the word for it was.
But to finally come out and say it?
To have confirmation that all was well?
It felt like there was a fire in her chest.
Ginny wasn’t sure what the next year at school would bring her-- but she felt infinitely more confident that she could be herself now.
