okay so I feel like you and James would be childhood friends
so the two of you would be close going into Hogwarts too bc duh
then he befriends Sirius, and you befriend Peter
who just so happened to be friends with Remus within the first couple weeks there
and y’all just hit it off
Remus liked you since second year and he was totally not obvious about it
he was just constantly in awe of you
your ability to play quidditch, your intellect, your humbleness, your kindness, your love for all creatures
he was smitten
yet he tried hiding it for years
until James had suspicions at the end of fourth year
but it was confirmed when you all came back fifth year and Remus couldn’t keep his eyes off you
because you had a soft summer tan, and more freckles, and you were just so beautiful now
and James kind of flipped out
because nobody is supposed to like you
except, maybe Remus bc he is actually really nice and probably the best guy for you
so he told him he approved
which gave Remus the confidence to actually ask you out
and you were half expecting it, half shocked because this is Remus Lupin
you said yes
and the strangest thing was that the other marauders didn’t quite notice
mostly because Remus knew how reserved you were with PDA and romance and stuff
so he treated you like normal
yet sometimes they’d notice that he didn’t blush or shy away from you anymore
just smile and lean in a bit closer
and that’s when they knew
