I was humbled and honoured when asked to share about our customs and traditions to a foreign nation. “WEave from CHC magazine, Taiwan”, got in touch and were keen to give their readership a glimpse of an Indian Wedding. Talking about “Hindu Marriages” the popular rituals with meanings such as the sindoor daan, wearing of the mangalsutra by the bride and the most important of all, the Saat Phere or “Saptapadi”. I was delighted to talk about my own and my husband’s family traditions and how much these can vary across the length and breadth of the country.
