Happy International Mountain Day. Weaver's Needle in the Superstition Mountains, Arizona
Happy New Year! Here are a few shots from a hike on the 31st out near Canyon Lake which gave us some great views of the distant Superstition Mountains and Weaver’s Needle. The clouds weren’t cooperating so well, but the geology of the area was striking and made for some very unique challenges. The first shot is definitely my favorite, but I couldn’t decide whether color or B/W did it more justice. What do you think?
Keep an eye out soon for a “best of 2020″ retrospective, despite the many struggles it was an excellent year for photography and I’m excited to share my favorites with you.

Thanks to everyone who has followed this little series, it was nice to review so many pleasant memories in an unpleasant year. And thank you to everyone who stuck with me through that year, we got to the other side together and there will be better days to come.
