The main reason for the samples I did over the weekend (aside from the reassurance on the sett) was to check the shrink

The sample was 25 cm on the loom under tension, 24 cm off the loom, and 22 cm after being washed.

That means 12% loss. Very important to know before I do the planning for my curtains!

As a baby weaver, I did a set of curtains for my kitchen, but I forgot about take-up and they ended up too short (and different lengths, but that's beside the point).

Finished samples! Washed but not pressed

I'm really happy with both, and I'm going to go with 16 epi (on the left). It's much more open, and the stripes are a better scale.

You can see it'll let lots of light in, perfect for bathroom curtains.

@wild--mountain--thyme I got a loom recently and inspired by your warp weight loom work added four heddles to it. Right now keeping an even tension across the heddle yarn loops is difficult and I’m thinking of making some sort of rigid hook that would allow pushing and pulling the warp easily.
