Beautiful Web Type: The Bright Side
I went to The Bright Side to read their stories. But the design. Beautiful! Perfect for what they are doing. Reminded me of The Great Discontent's early days. Plus, what beautiful web type! (Also, great photography!)
Above the fold on their current home page
Home page still. Story listings.
Individual story screenshot. Above the fold. (Man, they sure make modern serif type sing, don't they?)
Simple. Beautiful. Perfect.

Something big is coming
Hello! Elliot here — the founder of 8 Faces. As you probably know, we’ve long had plans to turn 8 Faces into a book — a huge book that collects all eight issues of the magazine, redesigned, re-edited, with tons of new content — and I’m very excited to say that those plans have finally come to fruition... well, almost. In the very near future, we’ll be launching a Kickstarter campaign to bring this book to life. The film is finished, the rewards have been set, and we’re just dotting the last ‘i’ and crossing the last ‘t’ before launch. I wanted you to be among the first to know that this is happening.
This is a still from our fundraising film; in it, you can see the dummy copy of the book. It’s going to be a beast! I’ll let you know as soon as the campaign is live. Meanwhile, be sure to also keep your eyes on the 8 Faces blog: Thanks for your time and your continued support of independent publishing, Elliot Jay Stocks Founder of 8 Faces
