Web3 (semantic web) is the third generation of the evolution of web technologies. The web, also known as the WWW (World Wide Web), is the foundational layer for how the internet is used.

Defining features of Web3.0 include decentralization; trustlessness and permissionlessness; artificial intelligence( AI) and machine learning; and connectivity and ubiquity.It's decentralized instead of large controlled and owned by centralized entities, ownership gets distributed amongst its builders and users. It's permissionless everyone has equal access to share in Web3, and no one gets excluded. It has native payments it uses cryptocurrency for spending and transferring money online instead of depending on the outdated structure of banks and payment processors.

It's trustless it operates using incentives and profitable mechanisms rather of depending on trusted third- parties. No need of third party to do payments.

Bitcoin – The original cryptocurrency has been around for further than ten years, and the protocol itself is decentralized, although not all of its ecosystem is.

OpenSea – A marketplace for buying and selling NFTs( Non Fungible Token), itself erected on the Ethereum. Uniswap – cryptocurrency exchange Diaspora –Non-profit, decentralized social platform Steemit – Blockchain- based blogging & social network Sapien – Another decentralized social network, which is built on the Ethereum.

Although WEB3 is not yet ready for fully developed, action is being taken to make this happen. Once technology is fully developed, it can drastically change the world.
