So this is the survey regarding the magazine I was talking about.

To clarify, this would be, essentially, the LGBT version of J14, Quizfest, etc., in a way, because it would be more focused on LGBT history and current events, kind of still in a pop-culture way. Around the time that I started becoming an LGBT ally, I realized that I wasn’t happy with the fact that these magazines are target specifically to cishet girls. Around the time I realized I wasn’t straight, I became kind of annoyed with the fact that half of the articles and quizzes are about guys that girls should find attractive, or how to tell if your male crush is into you, etc.

Quizfest used to be my favorite magazine, so the fact that I’m finding all these issues with it now made me think about the one thing everyone says: If you don’t like it, change it. And since protesting it would get me nowhere, might as well make something of my own, right?

I guess I’d have to start with a web magazine and a website similar to buzzfeed or something, and work to get enough money to establish a print magazine, but the idea is that I want to find a name for it that would be safe for closeted readers, while also fitting the topic enough that the right people would be able to find it.
