Website Plan

A website can be used to develop a professional image and to reach out to a wider audience. Hopefully in the next coming weeks, I will create my very first website to ideally promote myself as an artist. I feel as though I am ready and all my work leading up to now has been persistent, links together and shows a continuous artistic style. A website could bring all my work together which will enable the viewer to get a sense of my style and hopefully in the future they be able to recognize my work. I am really excited about creating my website but first I will need to plan and research other websites in order to form an insight and understanding in to what makes a good website to successfully portray myself as a professional artist. During my own research into other artists I have found most websites reflect the artists while others do not because of the uninteresting design and the difficult functionality of the website. This can sometimes put the viewer off looking at the website which is something I can definitely say has happened to me several times. It is such a shame, as it stops you from properly engaging with the work. Although the work might be outstanding, presentation is also key in making it successful. I hope to create a fully functional website that provides easy access to the viewer but at the same time professionally and effectively promotes myself.
