1949 Webster-Chicago 166-1A
Among other things, Webster-Chicago built wire recorders and matching amplifiers for businesses. Fortunately for us, many of them have survived and been converted into guitar amps. The 166-1A has a lot more punch than the 66-1A as it has an extra pre-amp tube. 12 watts of goodness power this wonderful amp.
Erik Gustafson, Straight in. This doesn’t really have a clean tone. What a shame, not.
