The Caravan

On this Sunday morning I find I can’t get the images of the caravan that is headed North out of my head.

I live in Canada. We are proudly known for our humanitarian acts as a country. As a Canadian it is a source of pride.

And as I think of those mothers and fathers who have made the journey so far with children, I can’t help but ask, When is our Government going to step up and send troop transport planes to Mexico and bring these people to a safe home ?

We as a country have the compassion to do this. We have the hardware, the people to make this happen. We have a country of empathetic people that can and will step up to help.

So to the Canadian Government.

You want to make a bold move on the world stage? Step up and Welcome these people to Canada. Take away the “issue” of the American border. Have the balls to Lead.
