[Start scene, a grey wastleand. A foggy, concrete hellscape interspered with pockets of hope. A man and a woman walking, hand in hand.]
Guy: [Suspicious] Did you know the angels and demons hang out together?
Girl: [Annoyed] What's that got to do with anything?
Guy [Confused] Nothing, I guess. Just think it's weird.
[Pause] Girl. [Shrugging] It makes sense, they have to work together since they made up.
Guy [Amused] Yeah, but they used to be at each others throats. How mental is it that the devil and God eloped?
Girl [Laughing] It was just sexual tension all along.
Guy [Chuckling] And that's how we get rainbows. I always secretly hoped it was leprechauns.
Girl [Shakes her head, serious] I need to know. So are you going to tell me your choice then?
Guy [Sighing] Are you still going to heaven?
Girl [Looks away] I still can't believe you're a satanist.
Guy [Squeezes her hand] And you're a christian.
Girl [Dissapointed] And it was all a lie.
Guy [Concerned] Hey, it's okay. You were still a good person, mostly.
Girl. [Thoughtful] So were you. You always tried, not everyone tries.
Guy. [Hugs her] I'm sorry, I just can't. They used to hurt me if I did what other people said.
Guy: [Holding back tears] I tried. But when I tried to learn they hurt me. I was all alone. I was so scared.
[She comforts him. He cries. She whispers you're safe, repeatedly to him]
Guy. [Pulling away, whiping his eyes] I can be better. For you.
Girl. [Sighs] You have to do it for you. Otherwise you can't get in.
Guy. [Defeated] I can't do it for me. I hate me. I deserve hell.
Girl [Exasperated] No you don't. No-one does. Everybody should just be able to go to heaven.
Boy [Crying] I shouldn't. I just hurt people, when they get too close.
Girl. [Going for a hug, boy backs away] Just breath, just stay.
Boy. [Breathing] I won't. I can't lose you. I'll find a way to focus it.
Girl. [Supportive] I know you will, just breath. Why're you angry?
Boy. [Breathing] I'm not angry. I'm scared.
Girl. [Searching] Are you both?
Boy [Leg twitching] I'm scared because I don't know what to do.
Girl [Calmly] Getting angry won't solve it.
Boy [Deep breath] How am i meant to fix this?
Girl [Shrugging.] You can't.
Boy [Thunderstruck] We can try.
I'm posting this in the hopes that someone makes this into a video clip or short or something. If you've ever wanted to have a go at acting or making a film here's a bit of a script to mess around with!
