Bob Hoover flying my ultralight aircraft, Oklahoma City, 1979. [The Weedhopper had a rigid wing, Dacron sailcloth, 25 HP 2-cycle engine, tractor configuration, 2-axis aerodynamic controls, pilot seat slung about 6-inches off the ground, and tricycle gear with nose wheel steering reversed from conventional aircraft…] He flew 2 small patterns around the airport, but he didn’t do a loop or roll :-) Bob told me that he enjoyed the flight and asked for a copy of a pic I took “to put up on the wall in my den”.
