I smile a bit more and nod, rubbing my thumb against your tummy while you talk excitedly about your plans for the house which makes me feel more at ease the closer we get.

"Alright, I think it's this house right...here!"

Pulling into the driveway of the large house, I can't help but smile picturing our family running around together and causing all kinds of chaos.

"Ready to go inside?"

nodding my head enthusiastically, i let you help me out of the car before we head up to the front door together— your mom’s friend waiting for us inside to give us a tour.

“ready! it already looks so perfect kou, i have a feeling this is it!”

i say as you reach for the doorbell only for the door to fly open and reveal your mom’s friend, smiling at us both brightly as she invites us inside.

“koutarō right? and you must be the lovely aali! Mrs.bokuto has told me so much about you, i hear this might be the family home of your dreams?”

“I loaded it up with green beans, I thought you liked them.”

I reply with a faux pout before laughing softly when you give me a look, kissing you one more time then turn back to the stove since I don’t want to burn anything.

“How’s your tummy feeling, baby? Should I make you some of that tea for your morning sickness?”

I ask as you sit down at the table to visit the puppies since they’re barking excitedly at your feet.

scratching behind the boys’ ears i nod my head eagerly at you, leaning down to kiss their foreheads because they’re so excitable today.

“it’s feeling good today! the beans aren’t giving mama hell, but I’d still love a cup of that tea please daddy,”

i coo, speaking in a baby voice as the boys try to jump up into my lap and lick at my cheeks, making me giggle while trying to keep them ok the floor.

“i think the boys are hungry, won’t stop giving mommy kisses like she’s their last meal, isn’t that right babies, yes it is!”

“Hmm, I’m sure I could get your Jeep and a nice SUV as our family car. If I have my sportscar then I think it’s only fair you have a car of your own.”

I smile reaching over to lace my fingers with yours during the drive to the shelter, laughing softly when you squeal excitedly at the idea of having your Jeep.

“Let’s get a house picked out first and then we can go car shopping, okay? Anything you want to make my baby happy.”

“kou you spoil me way too much, you know i don’t need to be spoiled to be happy. i just need you.”

i pull our joined hands up to my lips and kiss the back of your hand, just so you know how much i love you, getting giddier as we get closer to the shelter and nuzzling into you.

“kou! look at all the doggies outside aren’t they so cute? kou look look!””

Everyone nods, Atsumu going to get Shoyo and the kids while I grab my mom and sisters - Kuroo following you into the office.

“Alright, we’re all here baby. What’s this big surprise?”

I ask sitting at my desk as my mom and sisters huddle in the corner whispering since they already know about it since you went to them first.

“C’mon, you’ve been teasing me with it all day!”

“well, i’ve been holding onto this secret all day! but after my appointment with the doctors earlier i found out some big news,”

i fish into one of your desk draws and pull out a folder i’d kept hidden in plain sight— pulling out a small ultrasound picture and showing it to you all with a small smile.

“you can barely see it, but kou and i are expecting twins! surprise baby!”

i look to your face for a reaction as everyone around us starts to celebrate happily, your sisters already hugging me while the boys clap you on the back.

Just to tease the kids, I lean down to kiss you tenderly as they squeal and cover their eyes so they don’t have to watch the whole thing

“Alright c’mon you two, let’s leave Aali and her friends alone for a little bit. Where are your uncles?”

I ask reaching for Miko’s hand but he quickly swats it away when your friends start swooning over him and he eats up every second of it

“Ooh so Bo doesn’t have any brothers but he does have the world’s cutest nephew!”

miko strikes a pose and shows off his muscles as the girls clap for him, pinching on his cheeks and fawning over him. i smile up at you and wiggle my eyebrows before someone waves us over— it being atsumu, shoyo and another one of your friends i don’t know.

“looks like your miko is a little womaniser huh? but who’s that kou?”

hana giggles happily, squealing in your arms and leaning over to wave back at the three excitedly.

“look uncle bo!! s’uncle ‘tsumu ‘n shoyo ‘n kuroo!!”

“Didn’t you eat breakfast this morning before your appointment?”

I ask raising a brow at you and sigh softly when you avoid answering my question but I don’t push it as I play with your hair, twirling it around my fingers.

“Try to make sure you’re eating enough, okay? And you know that if you don’t feel like cooking when I’m not home you can order whatever you want and use my card.”

“‘m sorry, i wanted to make somethin but the caterers were in the kitchen and tsumu and shoyo were running late to pick me up so we couldn’t stop anywhere,”

my cheeks feel hot with embarrassment, knowing i should be doing better to make sure everyone’s okay and keen into your touch for comfort since i crave more than just you playing with my hair.

“and you know i don’t like using your card for silly things! ‘specially since you won’t let me work until after baby’s born!”
