yubari pauses. it's just a question. it's simple, something most humans can answer easily; to have hopes and dreams, even if it's for something small, is normal for them. but yubari isn't human. he is a deity, and deities do not wish for anything. they answer wishes, granting crops rain and providing protection from what hardships they can. it is not their place to have wishes of their own. yubari exists for the safety and happiness of humanity, so what wish should he ever have other than the wellbeing of humans?
at least, this is what he was raised to believe, how to think. how he should think and how he actually thinks seem to drift further and further apart these days.
" hm... " yubari hums, looking out at the geese waddling along the gentle curve of the pond. " a little more time with you. "
there's a playfulness to his smile, but it's an honest answer. there are few things he can think to wish for -- there isn't much that yubari desires. but human lives are short, fleeting in comparison to the lifespan of a god. if he has a wish, it is to go on many more walks with judy, to have many, many more moments like this one ( peaceful, comfortable, together ).
when yubari turns his gaze to judy again, his eyes are warm and curious ( oh, if he looks at her so fondly, she might figure him out ). " what do you wish for? "
