Week 5

Okay, same as the last one. I’m one week late, but I at least remember what happened.

During the week, we had a ton of debates between everyone. Topics between which sex is better or what course is better and why this is subject is better then the other. Mostly beside reliving my speech and debate days, I realised that all of the different areas strongly work together. 

Film and games will ask animation for their film/game, Animation will ask help from audio for a song, audio might want a music video for their song and ask film or animation to help, etc. 

Even though we were tearing at eachother, saying audio has a bad habit of copying eachother or taking sounds from another source. Film uses CGI too often now and attempts of making a live-action film of a famous animated movie are normally really bad. Animation is nowadays strictly set to TV and styles are getting similar and creativity is basically nonexistence. Games are failing slowly and has one of the biggest risks of getting fired and can’t function without the help of animation and audio. 

The list goes on and on, but the point is still there. None of use can fully function without the help other sides.

Week 4

Okay, I can admit I am a week late for this. But it’s here at least.

During that week, we were learning mostly about qualifications and other skills for jobs around our media courses. Which we later decided to some fake job interviews, one group act as the employers and the other group send two people to act as the job hunters. One was to act as they were actually going to try to get the job, while the other was to act in a way that would be unacceptable. 

Even though I was to play as the person who was lying though their teeth to get the job and oddly enough I did the fake job, from this I at least learned about what is expected from clients when asking for a commission from me. As well as I learned how to go to a job interview, since I’ve never got a job outside of commissions.
